Screen Printing FAQ

I have an idea for a screen print. How do I go about printing it?

Read our handy guide to bringing an idea to life by using our screen printing expertise!

There are a lot of screen printers out there. How can I be sure you are a good one?

Our reputation speaks for itself. We have been around for over 20 years servicing the screen printing industry, and you don’t get to be that old if you don’t know what you are doing! We have some of the latest screen printing technology that allows us to do truly amazing things with our screen prints, and we pride ourselves on providing a service that is a step above just your average screen print.

How do I go about finding out how much my design will cost to print?

Due to the amount of variables that comes into play when deciding final costings of screen printing jobs, we unfortunately do not have a down-loadable price guide to supply to the general public. However, we are always more than happy to provide hassle and obligation free quotes to anyone and everyone, so please feel free to send us any artwork or ideas that you want printed, and someone will be in touch with you as soon as they can to provide you with more information or a price.

Do I own the screens & films once Pro Print Group is finished with it?

No. Pro Print Group charges a setup fee for the labour involved with creating the films and the screens themselves, as this process of creating the screens to our high standards is quite time consuming and delicate, in order to achieve perfect results. This fee does not include the purchasing the screens or the films once the job is complete, with no exceptions. What this will mean is that if you ever need a repeat job of the same artwork (and thus, the same screen), we can simply take the screen out of our archive and reuse it with no hassle for you, our client. If your job is not repeated, rather than put excess strain on the environment and discard unused screens, we will reclaim unused screens, remove all traces of your artwork and recycle the screen. This also means you never need to worry about the possibility of copyright and plagiarism of your trademarked designs.

I have an idea for a screen print, but I don’t know how to design it. What can I do?

Whilst we always recommend that the client supply us with artwork to ensure complete satisfaction with the job, we can provide artwork designing and redrawing services. This incurs an additional charge depending on the complexity of the job. For any design services, please contact us and we will advise you on specific charges.

I have something that is urgent and needed to be printed yesterday! Can you help?

Of course. We do offer an emergency rushed turn-around service to handle the urgent jobs that you needed to be already done by now. These types of jobs will incur additional fees, which you will be informed of when you place your order.

How durable are your screen prints? I am concerned about cracking and shrinking on my garments that are made of stretchy material.

We take pride in every single one of our screen prints and always ensure every print has the correct thickness of ink and has been cured for the required amount of time, no less. This ensures every print will be as durable  and will last as long as possible.  We also always recommend the use of a white-coloured under-base coat for any stretchy materials. This not only ensures the vibrancy of the colours, but guarantees the print will not flex or shrink.

Can I have the screens & films once my printing is completed?

No. When you pay a setup fee, this does not include purchasing the screens & films. We do not give our screens & films away once we have completed a job, regardless of if the job will be repeated.

Can I see some examples of your screen prints?

Of course. Please view the “Portfolio” page in the navigation bar at the top of the page to see some examples of what we can do for you.
